For me the idea of internet neutrality is obvious. ISP's are trying to copy old cable provider business plans by charging for premium content. We can see how wrong this is if we think about how cable used to work. Cable companies go to networks such as HBO and pay them a certain amount in order to have the network on their cable system. Cable companies in turn, charge for these services in order to make a profit. This is acceptable, because the cable company gets money for bringing the service to you, and the network gets money from the cable company. Internet does not work like this. The biggest problem with ISP's charging for premium content is the fact that they do not own the content, nor are they paying for it. This is essentially piracy, making money on someone else's content.
